Elon Musk has put a deal with Twitter on hold for now.

Elon Musk referred to information that is still forthcoming about spam and false accounts on the social media network.

Elon Musk said on Friday that his planned acquisition of Twitter for $44 billion is “temporarily on hold” seeking specifics on spam and phoney accounts on the social media network. Musk made the announcement on Friday.

In the midst of the Tesla billionaire’s proposed takeover of the firm, indications of internal upheaval have emerged, including the fact that Twitter sacked two of its senior management on Thursday. This new development adds another twist to the story.

It was unclear whether or not the phoney account problem may derail the business transaction.
